Our Mission

For the first time in generations - perhaps ever - people from all corners of the world are acutely aware of Ukraine’s struggle for liberty and sovereignty. Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our MN Ukrainian American community sprung into action.

Our Work Is Focused On:

  • Monetary Support

    Financial donations are preferred over any other form. The situation in Ukraine is evolving rapidly and financial donation provides maximum speed in delivery and flexibility for Ukrainians who badly need our assistance.

    StandWithUkraineMN has compiled a list of verified NGO’s supporting Ukraine’s defenders, humanitarian aid for displaced and injured civilians, and medical aid initiatives operating in Ukraine today.

  • Medical Aid, Food, and Clothing

    Medical resources are an extremely pressing need to save the lives of people in Ukraine, be it soldiers and territorial defense volunteers, civilians, or medics and first responders.

    StandWithUkraineMN prioritizes any in-kind medical donations and leverage extensive network established in 2014 to quickly deliver them to people in need.

  • Advocacy

    Work performed by StandWithUkraineMN keeps our elected officials informed about the Russian war’s impact on Ukraine’s citizens. We engage Representatives at the Federal, State and Local levels by calling for policy and political action that helps Ukraine win the war, reduce casualties and ultimately aid in Ukraine’s quick recovery.

    StandWithUkraineMN has created a resource center in the “Take Action” tab to help you bring Ukraine’s victory forward!

  • Activism

    Community engagement enables our friends and neighbors learn more about our community and the heroic people of Ukraine, who are fighting tooth and nail defending the free world from Russian aggression.

    StandWithUkraineMN connects Minnesotans with links to Ukraine, including first-hand accounts of how the war affects every Ukrainian, from Donetsk to Lviv, from Kharkiv to Odessa, and from Kyiv to Crimea.

Our community has received an inpouring of empathic sentiments and offers of help and support. We are heartened and humbled to witness so many of our friends, our neighbors and erstwhile strangers across Minnesota rising to Stand With Ukraine.

We live halfway around the globe but we are united in our commitment to serving the urgent needs of Ukrainians fighting Russia’s war against liberty, against self-determination and against democracy. To engage one another and our allies effectively, stakeholders from Minnesota’s Ukrainian American community have organized a dedicated initiative: #StandWithUkraineMN.

This is a space to align and amplify our many voices. This is a place to coordinate our volunteering and activism. This is a platform to keep one another connected and informed. This is a way to enhance our impact, to help Ukraine win the war and to support Ukraine in recovering from devastation.
