House Speaker Mike Johnson introduced two important bills on April 17th, and we need your help to make sure they pass!

Please call your Representative’s office and demand they vote yes for these bills: H.R. 8035 and H.R. 8038.

"Hello! I'm [name], a resident of [city] and my zip code is [your zip code].

I'm calling to ask Representative [name] to support urgent aid for Ukraine by voting yes on:

• H.R. 8035, the stand-alone Ukraine supplemental funding bill;

• H.R. 8038, the bill to allocate frozen Russian assets to assist Ukraine and strengthen sanctions against Russia.

I am also asking for Representative [name] to support expediting the consideration and voting process for these bills to safeguard U.S. national security and support our ally - Ukraine.

This issue is very important to me - as a constituent I appreciate the Representative’s support on this matter.

Why is this supplemental aid bill so important?

• U.S. aid for Ukraine is out and Ukrainian soldiers on the front are being forced to ration their ammunition while Congress debates whether they’re worth helping. This has to change.

• Without U.S. aid, more Ukrainians will be killed on the front from Russian bullets and in their homes from Russian missiles and Iranian drones.

• Putin’s hope is that without U.S. military support, Ukraine runs out of air defense ammunition—allowing Russia to destroy the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems we provided Ukraine with.

• America’s European allies have stepped up with commitments to support Ukraine that are now more than double what America has committed. Washington needs to catch up to Europe.

• Independent legal experts have concluded that Russia’s actions in Ukraine constitute genocide. 

• Ukraine has continuously met or exceeded oversight and accountability standards of the U.S. government. U.S. aid is being used properly.

• Aid for Ukraine not only helps Ukrainians defend themselves, it injects massive billion-dollar investments into American communities. Arizona, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin have been some of the largest beneficiaries of Ukraine aid, all receiving over $1 billion in investments.

Poll after poll shows that the majority of Americans continue to support Ukraine.

• More Americans believe the U.S. is not helping Ukraine enough according to a Spring 2024 poll published in April.

• An October Razom/Change poll found that 60% of American voters think that the U.S. withdrawing support for Ukraine would signal weakness to our allies and enemies alike.

• 69% of voters think America needs to defend its friends abroad like Ukraine.

• An August Razom/Change poll found that 63% of voters want to see continued aid for Ukraine in the next federal budget.

The single most important thing the U.S. can do to support Ukraine right now is swiftly pass supplemental funding. Aid to Ukraine is running dry and Ukrainians know that America’s choice of whether to continue support is a life-or-death matter for them. America’s allies are looking to us for leadership. It’s time to get this right and help Ukraine win.
