Commemoration and Exhibit – Ukraine: War and Resistance

  • Minnesota State Capitol 109 Aurora Avenue Saint Paul, MN, 55103 United States (map)

At a time when Ukraine is passing a decade of defending its sovereignty and after two years of protecting the world’s democracy since the start of the full-scale invasion, let us all band together and Believe In Ukraine! The future we believe in is one of Ukrainian victory and liberation.

Stand together with Fulbright Scholars, Ukrainian community members and friends of Ukraine in the MN State Capitol Rotunda (75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155) on February 24th as we illuminate hope and show solidarity with the brave Ukrainian people.

At 10:15 a.m., we will gather to hear from local Ukrainian community leaders, elected representatives and current UMN Fulbrighter Roman Tyshchenko as they talk about the current situation in Ukraine.

We will have a special opportunity to view a current photography exhibition that features seven award-winning Ukrainian and American Fulbrighters. Their 40 photographs reveal the trauma and the resilience of the people of Ukraine as well as evidence of the devastation of the war with Russia.

This free exhibit will be displayed in the North Corridor of the Capitol from February 16 to March 1st.

On Saturdays, parking near capitol is free.

This event is organized by the Fulbright Association Minnesota Chapter and MN Ukrainian American Advocacy Committee, with support from the Ukrainian American Community Center.

Please invite your friends and share!
