Keeping the garage in garage rock, Monica LaPlante's fuzzed riffs and frank lyricism lay bare while they grind into your psyche like a steel-toed boot into wet cement. ⏤Minnesota Public Radio

Christy is a long time mover and shaker in Minneapolis. She slings and ax and a bass. Her vocal styles are in the key of smoke, grit, soul and life. She is also a songwriter, disc jock, talent buyer, event coordinator, promoter, mother, yogi, bartender and friend. She currently plays guitar and bass in Butcher's Union and Monica LaPlante. As a matter of fact, her band she'll be playing with is the entire Monica LaPlante band with Monica on bass and vocals, Orion Treon on second guitar and vocals and Austin Cecil on drums. You may know her songwriting style from some of her past bands like Pink Mink and Ouija Radio. She also collaborate with Mike Blaha of the Blind Shake in Blaha & Costello and toured playing guitar with Detroit's, The Von Bondies for a few years. She's coming out with a new batch of songs as herself. Check out some of her demos. Christy's demos

Returning to the stage with original music for the first time in 25 years, Cindy Lawson and band (Jerry Lefkowitz from Something Fierce, Mark Deveraj of Whisky Rock and Roll Club, and Dave Randall from numerous bands including The Boot R&B, The Magnolias, The Silent Treatment and more) play a unique mix of music influenced as much by the Ronettes as the Stooges.

Murzik is a gypsy indie folk four-piece band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, that started in 2003.[1] The band name comes from the common Russian name for cats.[2] Duluth News Tribune describes Murzik as the "combin[ed] zestiness of gypsy swing with the somber tones of some Eastern European folk music." They utilize saxophone, bells, dark fiddle, accordion, mandolin and glockenspiel, with bass, drums and acoustic guitar.[3][2][4] Murzik cites influence from Édith Piaf and traditional Russian music, such as Vladimir Vysotsky.[1] They draw comparison to the music of DeVotchKa, Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen.

Whiskey Rock and Roll Club are Loud sounds from the MPLS rock ‘n’ roll underground! Although only a three piece, fuzzed-out rock outfit Whiskey Rock ‘n’ Roll Club MPLS makes a bigger and badder sound—boogie with a bit of bite!—than groups one-and-a-half their size. The same over-performance also holds for Whiskey’s live show bar tabs, making the “Club meeting” live shows a favorite for fans of loud and fast music and bartenders alike. Whiskey Rock ‘n’ Roll Club MPLS is Taylor Carik (vox, guitar), Mark Devaraj (drums, also of Tromp le Monde, High on Stress, Heavy Sixers), and Andy Holmaas (bass, also plays with David Allen and others).

Mad Mojo Jett is Mady and Monet from The Toxenes, Joe from Low Rats, Eric from JettKick. Making garage trash noise from Minneapolis, Minnesota in the USA.
